The Queens Diamond Jubilee is fast approaching and it seems that a lot of people have chosen to go on a cruise that same week.

There has been a high demand at cruise.co.uk for cruises during the first week of June 2012 and many people will be at sea during the Jubilee celebrations.

Should you be kicked off a ship for not attending the muster drill ?

It was recently reported that an elderly couple were kicked off the Seabourn Sojourn for refusing to attend the muster drill.  Safety procedures on cruise ships have been in the spot light this year since the Costa Concordia incident and cruise lines are taking safety very seriously at the moment, as they should do.

I am sure that most of us who have cruised have seen people that can't be bothered to go to the muster drill on the ship and hide in their cabin or somewhere else to avoid it, it is likely that this recent incident will make these people think twice about doing this.

I think that something like this needed to happen at some point to make certain people take cruise safety matters more seriously, after all the muster drill isn't that bad is it ?
