Carnival Cruise Line have just announced that they will be redeploying their ships away from the UK and Europe in 2014.
Carnival have not long ago brought the Legend over to sail from the UK and the Sunshine to sail from Barcelona, but it seems this isn't working out as well as they hoped.
Carnival say that this is because they were relying on a lot of North American passengers to fly over to keep the numbers up on these cruises, but this wasn't happening as much as they would have hoped due to the increase in flight costs.
There is already such a large amount of competition in cruises going from the UK and Barcelona I am not personally surprised that this has happened. The situation is obviously good for passengers though as it is competition that helps drive prices down.
Carnival have announced that the Carnival Legend will be sailing from Sydney in 2014.

I have just been on the New Norwegian Breakaway, what did I think of her ?
I have just returned from Southampton, where I was privileged enough to have spent a night on the new Norwegian Breakaway. I had been looking forward to this visit for a long time, I really love visiting ships and I hadn't been on an Norwegian Cruise Line ship before so I was keen to find out what it was like.
My passengers have had good things to say about Norwegian Cruise Line in the past so I was optimistically hoping that I would be impressed by the ship and the brand.

Royal Caribbean annouce their new ship, the Quantum of the Seas
Royal Caribbean have recently announced their new addition to their fleet, the Quantum of the Seas.
I have to say that Royal Caribbean certainly push the boundaries when adding new features to their ships, some people see these things as gimmicks but I say the more new and exciting things to do, the better.
